As a privately paid independent caregiver, my core values lie heavily on the quality of care I provide, being proactive in my resident’s everyday needs, trust building with my residents, which does go beyond fulfilling basic tasks & focus on creating a dignified, empathetic, & respectful caregiving experience.
I have always found myself to be a very compassionate and empathetic human being hence why I have been in the healthcare field for about 23 years straight. I have experiences ranging from acute care to comfort care. Meaning that I have a lengthy experiencing from hospitals bedside nurse to shared living provider in my own home.
My family always has taken care of people whether at work or in our own home. As I get older, I realize that the care that I would love to provide to someone will be best fit in my own home as I can easily personalize their care, respected their autonomy while ensuring that dignity is maintained with asking for consent before any physical interaction, improve their quality of living and safety.
